This summer, we released an RFA for a second round of funding to support post-permanency services as identified in the above needs assessment.
We received 42 applications from across the state to provide a range of services for adoptive families, including:
- Therapeutic interventions
- Respite
- Babysitting
- Camps
- Family coaching
- In-home supports
Based on the findings of the needs assessment, the Texas Center for Child and Family Studies will fund $3.4 million across the 11 regional Heart Galleries and two statewide partners.
These funds will enhance existing programs and expand services to focus on post-permanency efforts. Funding recipients will be announced on September 3.
