Heart Galleries play a vital role in sharing the stories of children in foster care who are waiting to be adopted. Court-Appointed Special Advocates (CASA volunteers) are key players in those stories, serving as powerful allies in helping children achieve positive permanency.
Heart Galleries of Texas is proud to partner with Texas CASA and local CASA programs statewide to raise awareness of Heart Galleries as a powerful storytelling tool. CASA Advocates can support children by attending Heart Gallery photo shoots/events with children as a familiar presence, helping caseworkers craft profiles, and referring children to post-adopt services once adoptive family connections are made. To support this work, Heart Galleries of Texas provides ongoing training and webinars.
In August, we had the honor of speaking to CASA Program and Executive Directors from across Texas, and we’re excited to be featured in their CASA On the Go podcast this fall. Together, we’re ensuring that every child waiting for adoption has their story told.
