Heart Gallery representatives from across Texas attended the Texas Women’s Leadership Conference, hosted by First Lady Cecilia Abbott and the Texas Governor’s Commission for Women. The conference brought together leaders from government, nonprofit, and business sectors to build leadership skills, share ideas, and foster collaboration.
We are grateful for this opportunity to learn alongside other visionary leaders and to bring back new ideas that directly influence how we recruit families and support children waiting for adoption. Together, we continue shaping a stronger Texas for children and families – one leader, one partnership, and one child at a time.
In early February, all eleven Heart Galleries from across the state gathered to share proven strategies and creative solutions for elevating every child’s story with care and integrity. From coordinating photography for children placed across the state to securing high-impact exhibit locations and mobilizing volunteers and donors, the network works collaboratively to follow child welfare best practices, remove barriers, and expand reach.
The results speak for themselves: since expanding statewide, 51% of children featured in the Heart Gallery have moved forward through adoptive placement. That’s collective impact in action—go team!
