On November 10, we hosted a special launch event for Journey to Adoption: A Permanent Place to Call Home, a museum exhibition at The Bullock Museum in November, which is National Adoption Awareness Month. The evening brought together families, community leaders, and advocates to celebrate the powerful stories of children and parents from across the state of Texas whose lives have been transformed through adoption.
Families are as unique as fingerprints, and once a child is matched with a family, a new story begins. This exhibition invites visitors to step into the lives of the heroic children, foster families, and adoptive parents who have experienced the life-changing process of growing a family through adoption. Through photographs and visual narratives, this month-long special exhibition offers visitors a chance to hear first-hand accounts of the importance of adoption.
Journey to Adoption will be on view at The Bullock Museum throughout November, and traveling across the state beginning in January 2026.Â
