On August 22nd, the Heart Gallery of Northwest Texas unveiled its inspiring “Portraits of Hope: See the Heart, Capture the Future” exhibit at the Center for Contemporary Arts in downtown Abilene. Featuring 31 engaging professional portraits captured by volunteer photographers, the exhibit shares the faces and stories of some of the approximately 95 children in foster care in the region who are waiting to be connected with adoptive families.
More than just photos, the Portraits of Hope exhibit invites the community to engage, reflect, and take action. Visitors are encouraged to learn about the children’s journeys, explore ways to support foster care, and help create lasting connections.
The exhibit will remain open through October 16th in the Wright Photography Gallery.
