It was a busy spring for Heart Gallery expansion statewide, as five regions across the state hosted launch events. We were grateful and delighted to welcome First Lady of Texas Cecilia Abbott, who is a dedicated advocate for Heart Galleries, to every single event! Each launch event was as unique as the region it serves and collectively, Heart Galleries welcomed over 850 in attendance at these events and showcased hundreds of portraits of children awaiting adoption from the foster care system in Texas.Â
In March we celebrated the re-launch of Heart Gallery of Greater Houston, a program of Be a Resource. Also in March was the launch of the Heart Gallery of South Texas, a program of Foster Angels of South Texas, in Edinburgh. This Heart Gallery serves the expansive region covering the Rio Grande Valley, Corpus Christi, Laredo and surrounding counties.Â
In April we celebrated the Heart Gallery of West Texas, a program of One Accord for Kids, in Midland—serving Midland/Odessa and the Greater San Angelo area. Also in April, we launched the Heart Gallery of the Panhandle Plains, a program of Community Partners of Lubbock, serving the Lubbock and Amarillo area and surrounding counties.
May brought our celebration to Beaumont, where we launched Heart Gallery of Southeast Texas, a program of Texas Family Care Network. Check out the video from the event below!
